The Chodsko region offers an wide array of possibilities for outdoor recreation and relaxation.

Great hiking, biking, mushroom hunting and fishing are right out our back door.

There is an extended network of bike paths, newly paved and graded, and lined with street lamps (as of Summer 2006)!

We can also arrange horseback riding excursions.

Swimming pool

Bathing

There is also an open air pool in Babylon which is 2 km away. During the winter months, there is a public indoor swimming pool in Domazlice (1,5 km) or a water park in Waldmunchen, Germany (15 km).

Winter sports

But if you prefer winter sports, there are numerous cross country skiing trails nearby. Also, downhill skiers and snowboarders can choose between skiing in Sumava in the Czech republic (45 km) or in Gross Arber in Germany, that is also just 45 km away.

A much smaller but less congested ski area can be found in Hohen Bogen in Germany (20 km).

Castle Švihov

Golf

For golf lovers: a 9-hole golf course in Klenci pod Cerchovem (5 km) or an 18-hole golf course in Furth im Wald, Germany (8 km).

Trips

You can find lots of castles and chateaux in our surroundings. You can visit them in Horsovsky Tyn, Svihov, Klenova or Kladruby. For more info, go to “links” or ask our staff.
